Power Electronics & Instrumentation is a subject that is offered to students pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at KTU, Kerala. The subject is covered in the seventh semester of the 2019 schema and is divided into six modules. The modules covered in this subject include Module 1: Power Semiconductor Devices, Module 2: AC to DC Converters, Module 3: DC to DC Converters, Module 4: Inverters, Module 5: Resonant Converters, and Module 6: Control of Power Converters.

In Module 1, students will learn about the different types of power semiconductor devices and their characteristics. They will also learn about the different types of power electronic circuits and their applications. In Module 2, students will learn about AC to DC converters, including single-phase and three-phase rectifiers. They will also learn about the different types of DC to DC converters in Module 3, including buck, boost, and buck-boost converters.

Module 4 covers inverters, including single-phase and three-phase inverters. Students will learn about the different types of inverters and their applications. In Module 5, students will learn about resonant converters, including series and parallel resonant converters. Finally, in Module 6, students will learn about the control of power converters, including pulse width modulation and current mode control
