Industrial Instrumentation is an important subject for students pursuing a degree in engineering. The subject deals with the study of various instruments used in industries to measure, control and monitor different parameters like temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc. The syllabus of Industrial Instrumentation includes six modules, namely MODULE 1, MODULE 2, MODULE 3, MODULE 4, MODULE 5, and MODULE 6. These modules cover topics like sensors and transducers, signal conditioning, measurement of temperature and pressure, flow measurement, control valves, and process control systems.

Industrial Instrumentation is a seventh-semester subject for students pursuing a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Kerala Technical University (KTU). The subject is a part of the 2019 scheme of KTU and is an important subject for students who wish to pursue a career in the field of industrial automation and control systems.

In MODULE 1, students will learn about the basics of instrumentation and measurement systems, types of sensors and transducers, and signal conditioning techniques. MODULE 2 covers the measurement of temperature and pressure, including different types of temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and their applications. MODULE 3 deals with flow measurement techniques and different types of flow meters used in industries.

In MODULE 4, students will learn about control valves and their applications in process control systems. MODULE 5 covers the basics of process control systems, including different types of controllers, control modes, and tuning of controllers
