Ground Improvement Techniques is a subject offered at KTU, Kerala, as part of the Civil Engineering curriculum. The subject is covered in the seventh semester of the 2015 scheme and is aimed at providing students with an in-depth understanding of various techniques used to improve the properties of soil. The subject is divided into six modules, each covering a specific aspect of ground improvement.
Module 1 introduces students to the basics of soil mechanics, including soil classification, soil properties, and soil behavior. Module 2 covers various ground improvement techniques, such as compaction, preloading, and soil stabilization.
