Circuits and Networks is a subject offered by KTU, Kerala for students pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The subject is covered in the seventh semester and is an essential part of the curriculum. The subject deals with the study of electrical circuits and networks, which are the backbone of modern-day electronics. The syllabus of the subject is divided into six modules, namely Module 1, Module 2, Module 3, Module 4, Module 5, and Module 6. Each module covers different aspects of circuits and networks, starting from the basics of circuit analysis to advanced topics like network synthesis and filter design.

Module 1 of the subject covers the basics of circuit analysis, including Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, and nodal and mesh analysis. Module 2 deals with the study of transient analysis of circuits, which includes the study of capacitors and inductors. Module 3 covers the study of sinusoidal steady-state analysis of circuits, which includes the study of phasors and complex impedance. Module 4 deals with the study of network theorems, which includes Thevenin's theorem, Norton's theorem, and maximum power transfer theorem. Module 5 covers the study of two-port networks, which includes the study of Z, Y, h, and ABCD parameters. Finally, Module 6 deals with the study of filter design, which includes the study of passive and active filters
