Advanced Manufacturing Technology is a subject offered at KTU, Kerala, which is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to understand the latest trends and technologies in the manufacturing industry. The subject is divided into six modules, each covering a specific aspect of manufacturing technology. The modules include Module 1: Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Module 2: Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing, Module 3: Robotics and Automation, Module 4: Additive Manufacturing, Module 5: Sustainable Manufacturing, and Module 6: Advanced Materials and Processes.
In addition to these modules, the subject also includes sub-modules such as Module 1.1: Fundamentals of Manufacturing Processes, Module 2.1: Computer-Aided Design, Module 3.1: Industrial Robotics, Module 4.1: 3D Printing and Rapid Prototyping, Module 5.1: Green Manufacturing, and Module 6.1: Advanced Materials. The subject is offered in the seventh semester of the Bachelor of Technology program and is a part of the 2019 schema.
Through this subject, students will learn about the latest manufacturing technologies, including computer-aided design and manufacturing, robotics and automation, additive manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, and advanced materials and processes. They will also gain an understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing processes, computer-aided design, industrial robotics, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, green manufacturing, and advanced materials
